I believe all problems that humanity has ever dreamed up or will ever dream up have already been resolved. All needs have already been met. All desires have already been fulfilled. To receive them in the here and now, it's important to thank the One/God for what has already been done. Here's one example, which happened this morning.
"So, how is your friend doing today?" my mother said. "Is she behaving herself?"
"Oh, she's fine!" I said. "She's been very good actually!"
The "friend" my mother was referring to was my period (menstrual cycle) who actually paid me an earlier visit than usual this month.
Within a few minutes, I started feeling severe cramps which had me doubled up in pain. When that has happened in the past, I have remained still and and prayed until the pain has passed. I wasn't going to let my activities be interrupted by the pain. Besides, I KNOW I have already been liberated from all pain so I'm going to claim what is rightfully mine now.
So I started thanking God for my permanent wholeness. I repeated "Thank you, God!" over and over.
As I got dressed, I thanked God. As I was putting on my eyeliner and lipstick, I thanked God. The pain got less and less. Soon it was time to leave. I wished my mother a good day. On the way to the bus stop, I thanked God. By then, I was feeling really high with joy and I said hello to everyone I met on the way. By the time I got on the bus into town, the pain had dissolved. I even chatted to some passengers during the bus journey.
When I got off the bus, I continued thanking God. As I was walking to my destination, I continued to thank God.
I believe it's important to give thanks constantly.
Thank you, God, for everything!
