Back in 1988, my best friend's mother came to stay with me for a few days. The night before she was due to leave, we sat at the kitchen table and talked about her husband who had passed from cancer and her daughter, my best friend Heather who died tragically. Whilst listening to her talk, I kept seeing a man in a robe and golden girdle about his waist just to the right of me. I thought to myself, I'm been a little over imaginative and so I tried to ignore it.
The room seemed to heat up and I opened a few windows and sat down. Again, I felt really hot and flustered because of the heat so I turned toward the window. I remember looking at Ma, and thinking how tired and drawn she looked. All of a sudden this heat over helmed me and then the next thing my ears felt blocked. I couldn't hear a word she was saying. Ma stopped and looked at me as if to say what's wrong.
A voice beside me said quite clearly, "There is a Blessing Coming". There beside me was a Man in a Long Robe and Golden Girdle about his waist. He put his hand into his sleeve and pulled out a Golden Orb that was glowing. I grabbed Ma's hand and put the other out to receive the Orb which he put in my hand. It went into me and passed out the hand I was holding on to Ma. I saw this Golden glow go up and around her body and head. Whilst this was happening I could hear angelic singing. Her face changed before me and she looked 20 years younger. Tears were flowing down both our faces.
Then the man in the Robe disappeared.
For a while we just sat there not saying a word. When I spoke again all my senses were back to normal. I asked what she thought just happened. Her reply was, "I heard prayers and I couldn't stop crying". I took her home the next morning so I went to see my Father who was quite religious and told him of our experience. He pointed me to a passage in Revelations 1:13.
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
I believe that God when needed, answers our silent prayers to give comfort and peace through his love for us. I have had many experiences and I just wanted to share my very first experience with like minded people of faith.
