This story took place only two nights ago, and I don't think I could ever forget it. To create a scenario for you, I was texting my friend at about 1.30 AM, when I was unable to fall asleep. My friend has several personal problems that I had promised to help him out with, and hence the reason I was up texting him at that hour.
What happened afterwards is very hard to explain, but I'll do my best. When I was waiting for a reply, I lay back and close my eyes. I did not fall asleep. Suddenly I found myself unable to neither move nor open my eyes, yet I was aware of everything around me. The sound of my parents sleeping, of a cat outside - of everything. What I saw was very different from what I was hearing. I was in a tunnel.
I was in two places at the same time. My physical body was still in bed, as inanimate as a doll, while my mind was elsewhere. In the tunnel. There was a path, and there were piles of rocks on the edges. Dead ahead there was a bright light. The light emitted such happiness, so it was almost impossible not to go there. When I tried to turn around, there was only nothingness. The only way you could go is straight forward, where the light was.
After staring at the light for a while, I took a step forth, but someone had grabbed my arm. I don't remember the face of my saviour, although I recall her voice was soft like silk. The only words she spoke were:
"Peri, I can't let you go there. You need to be there for Sasha, don't let him down."
After that, I was snapped back to reality. I could open my eyes, and I regained the ability to move my body. It was as if I had never left.
I'm quite positive that I was dying that night, but the girl didn't think it was my time yet. After that night, I decided to thank her every evening before I fall asleep. What do you think happened to me? Thank you for taking your time to read this.
