I just found this site and am enjoying the experiences on here and I thought I would submit the most recent thing that has happened to me. I am in my mid 40's and this spring had a pet that I felt was like a soulmate pass away on me with no sign that anything was wrong. My wife and I are more of room mates than husband and wife these days and I was really feeling depressed and alone.
So my birthday came up and I just felt like I could die and my wife didn't even make a big deal about it even though I knew she wouldn't but I still hoped in the back of my mind she might. I prayed that
somehow I could get a sign that I do matter somehow and I am not alone. The next day and also the day after my birthday I went out in the dark and cold of a winters night to train for the bike racing I do in the summer. Just as I was coming up on an underpass next to a golf course I saw something shiney out of the corner of my eye that my headlight on my bike lit up but I just kept going.
So it's an hour later and the wind and cold were getting to me so I turn around and head home and at the spot where I saw the reflective object I stopped to see what it was and it was one of those mylar helium ballons that no longer would float but still was full of air and it said Happy Birthday on it. How this didn't carried away by the wind and that it was sitting perfectly so that the writing was perfectly level with my line of sight, not even the slightest tilt to it.
This is the first time I have shared this with anyone as it was very special to me and it even makes me tear up writing it now.
I am not sure who placed it there for me but I do know it was an answer to my prayer from the other side.
