As I said in my previous story, Guadelupe watches over my school. Before my friend Sam was diagnosed with a moderate cardio kind of sickness, something else was happening to another kid.
His name was Daniel. I don't know how it started, but I noticed that he kept was starting to become more and more sick looking.
He became very pale and he wasn't joking around like he used to. And he had very bad dizzy spells and would faint a lot. he would sometimes end up almost crying in panic saying that he was hearing voices that no one else heard.
It really scared me. Even the rest of the class was talking about how he wasn't himself. We all got together and talked about it for months.
As it got worse and worse, we all thought he was just going to die in a few more months. He probably weighed as much as a five year old and he was always practically the color of copy paper. He wouldn't talk to anyone no matter how much we tried. He started letting his team down when he started getting worse at soccer as well.
Normally, I would keep this a secret from my mom, but I told her everything. She prayed with me everyday. But even after another month, he didn't change at all. My teacher tried talking to him, but he wouldn't listen. No one knew what was going on. And to tell you the truth, I didn't know why he was like that either.
In the beginning of the year, he was always joking around. But now, he was the exact opposite. But one good thing about it was, when he would isolate himself from everyone, I talked to his friends about it. I didn't really get along with his friends a lot, but my friend Alice and I told them everything and they agreed that he was scaring the living daylight out of everyone. We all promised to keep praying everyday for him. We did that for three weeks.
One day, we all noticed something. He was talking everyone again. And he was joking around and laughing again. Everyone noticed.
He was himself again. Our prayers were answered.
I believe that Guadelupe was watching over him too. I stopped talking to his friends, but I get along with them great now. I still talk to Daniel a little. He didn't recover completely since then. He still hears voices that no one else can ever hear and he is still a little pale, but not enough for people to notice, and changed a lot personality wise. He writes in a journal and he is a little quieter. No one knows what was really happening to him before, but we kind of forgot all about it now. I guess it's behind us. I just thank Guadelupe for helping him. I really believe that she is watching over all of us and she's there when you need her. And everyone should trust that.
God Bless,
Brianna
